Departing Darwin at 7am, we drive towards Kakadu Nation al Park, a UNESCO world heritage listed National Park that is 20,000 square km. Our first stop is the iconic Bark Hut at Annaburoo for morning tea and to meet some of the locals including water buffaloes, emus and wallabies. From here we drive into Kakadu and onto Nourlangie rock, this area is steeped in ancient aboriginal culture and once served as an occupational shelter for the local indigenous people. Here you will witness some of the best examples of Northern Aboriginal rock art and learn about their stories and rich Culture.

After a picnic lunch at Anbangbang Billabong we head south to Cooinda where we join a two-hour cruise on the famous Yellow Waters billabong, this is a great opportunity to get up close to the abundant wildlife that calls this area home, including saltwater crocodiles and prolific birdlife.

This afternoon we make our way back to Darwin on the historic Old Jim Jim track which traverses some of the most scenic floodplains and woodlands that Kakadu has to offer before returning to your hotel at approx. 5.30pm.
